It may not feel like it, but spring is coming and the PCA Gallery will be filled with the work of young blooming artists.

Opening Reception, Fri. March 14, 6-8 pm
A juried exhibition of artwork by St. Mark’s School students will be held from March 12-15 and March 17 at the Prairie Center of the Arts, 1506 SW Washington. Creative 2D and 3D individual and group projects from students in grades Pre K to 8th grade will be on display in the Peerless Gallery of the Center.

The opening reception on Fri. March 14, 6-8 pm will also feature musical and dramatic performances by the St. Mark’s Choir and the cast of the student musical, Everything’s Groovy. Snack sculptures and other special surprises will be part of the evening, too. Bradley students, through the University’s Professional Development Schools Partnership, are assisting with the Fine Arts Event. St. Mark’s is the first parochial school to have an exhibition at the Prairie Center of the Arts.

St. Mark School is located in the heart of Peoria, near Bradley University. This Pre K through 8th grade Catholic elementary school has been educating children since 1897. St. Mark’s is affiliated with IMSA (Illinois Math & Science Academy) and is the first parochial school in Illinois to pilot the Safe Schools Ambassadors program. With a current enrollment of 200 students, St. Mark School is a community where Christ is loved, excellence is expected, character counts, and traditions thrive.
